Marriage & Baptism request - Ellis

Hi -

Since i am unfamiliar with records and archives in England overall and especially Wales, i am not sure if this is a reasonable request; please let me know if it is not sufficiently detailed (it is all i have to go on):

Is it possible to look up a baptismal record for James Ellis born about 1809 - 1811 in "Llanga" or "Mynol" (Mynout? 1787 map), Montgomeryshire according to 1851 & 1861 Census?  Cannot find him in earlier Censuses.

And to look for a record of his marriage to Elizabeth probably in Montgomeryshire sometime during 1830 - 1842.  She was born in "Llanga" or "Langonock" (Llangattock? in Breconshire).

Thank you for any effort expended in a response; much appreciated.

Hi Neal, in your post you implied that you found James and Elizabeth in 1851 and 1861 in Montgomeryshire.   There is a family that may fit the bill but the birth places don't fit.   Here they are, firstly in 1851.......

I was thinking about possible places of birth for James Ellis and Llanymynech came to mind.   It is a parish in Shropshire with part on Montgomeryshire and close to the Denbighshire border also.   The 'g' in 'Llanga' is most probably a 'y' and 'mynol' could be mistaken for 'mynech' given the handwriting of the day.

Hi Dave -

I made a mistake.  The name is Joseph Ellis.  Not James Ellis.

And then i misled the reader.  The Montgomeryshire birthplace information for Joseph and Elizabeth was from the 1851 and subsequent Censuses when they were residing in Toxteth Park, near Liverpool, Lancashire.

I feel terrible about this because you attempted to help, essentially a wasted effort, including time spent transcribing your findings for posting.

Perhaps you could give it another shot.
