Thomas Reid, b:1810'ish, Ballyrobin/Stranocum area

Seeking information on birth, ancestors and marriage of Thomas Reid, early 1800's.
He had 3 children, all born in Ballyrobbin or Stranocum Townlands.
Jenny Reid b: 1832; James Reid b: abt. 1834; Edward Reid b: 1835

Edward Reid married Sarah Jane Gardiner, 29 Oct 1863, and they had 8 children, all born in Stranocum or Ballyrobin townlands.
Co. Antrim: Reid, McCaw, Gardiner, Holmes, Eccles, Ferguson, Beck, Bell;  Co. Derry: Macaulay;  Co. Donegal: Doherty, Cunningham; Co. Sligo: Cunningham, McHugh, King(?), Hynes, McCann, Patterson, Tierney.
Scotland: Clan Donnachaidh(Reid), Clan Cunningham, Clan Bell.

Stranocum and Ballyrobin are about 40 miles apart. www.familysearch.org shows several children for Edward Reid and Sarah/Sally Jane Gardiner/Gardner/Gardener:
William Reid born 12 Feb.1864 Ballymoney registration district (page 183 in civil register)
Thomas Reid born 12 Sept.1865 Ballymoney registration district (page 162 in civil register)
Ellen Reid born 1 July 1867 Ballymoney registration district (page 158 in civilk register)
John Reid born 5 July 1869 Ballymoney registration district (page 159 in civilregister)
James  Reid born 11 Nov.1871 Ballymoney registration district (page 160 in civil register)
Sarah Reid born 4 Sept.1874 Ballymoney registration district (page 162 in civil register)
Sarah Ann Reid born 15 May 1880 Ballyrobbin, Co.Antrim
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks so much, aghadowey, for your reply.  I have much of the same information on Edward Reid's children, with the addition of Kate J Reid, born 1875.  She later married Hugh Kelly of Stroan.  I believe their descendants still own the farm along the Stroan Rd.
There must be two Ballyrobin townlands, however, as one is immediately to the west of Stanocum along the Kirk Rd.  I walked the entire area for a week this past spring and fell in love with the area.

My next task is more difficult, however, in tracing Edward's line backwards.  All I have is Thomas as his father.

Yes, there are actually 7 townlands in Ireland called Ballyrobin- 2 of which are in Antrim so I had the incorrect one. I haven't been to Ballymoney since 4 o'clock this afternoon  :)
