Sorry to be bothering you again (as I said in my last email that I would wait to hear what answer you get regarding the birth certificate for William VARLEY born 1843) ....but I forgot to ask you a couple of questions that I had been meaning to ask before . Please forgive my poor memory !
(a) Do you know what became of Abraham VARLEY's siblings i.e John baptised 26October 1825 ; Sarah baptised 20May 1834 ; and the William VARLEY whose birth certificate you are getting hold of ?
(b) Do you know also what became of the siblings of great-grandfather William i.e. Thomas born 1858 ; Sarah Ellen born 1862 ; and Richard Aspinall VARLEY born 1864 ? I seem to recollect that you have also spoken about another sister i.e. Rachel who - I think - married a Charles J. RICE .
(c) With regard to Richard I found some details on the 1911 census which included the name of his wife Annie .... is this a second wife OR have I got the wrong family ? I thought Richard's wife was Elizabeth . On the census were five children : Thomas born 1901 ; Elizabeth Ann b.1903 ; Florance [sic] b.1904 ; Harry b.1908 ; and Harold b.1910 .
