Does anyone recognize this William as theirs?
He was born in Camden Town in London (Pancras district on the birth certificate), but his family spent the rest of their lives in and around Birmingham. His father William (another one!) was a master tailor but also had various managerial and sales jobs over the years). His mother was Kate (Weston). Siblings were Annie Mary, (Ellen) Kate, Sydney Henry and Maud Florence.
I can't trace William in any of the censuses, apart from a possible entry in a school in Kidderminster in the 1891 census, nor can I settle for certain on a marriage or death (there are just too many Williams!)
It would be great if a descendant has worked their way back to William - it is actually the only chance I have of finding living Grant relatives as all other branches of the family have petered out.
I have details for all the other members of William's family (though am a bit short on details for Sydney Henry between 1901 and his death in 1938, and for Kate - well, I'll do a separate post for her) I also have details back to William's grandfather - you guessed it, another William for whom I can't find parents). Naturally, I can share those details.
