Can anyone help with finding out any info on William Simson or Simpson who was married to Jane Sandison.
Her death in 1869 at Crofts of Auchtertyre says her parents were William Sandison and Elizabeth Coban but the only birth I can find is in 1797 in Birnie with Mother as Margaret Coban.

Also, I can't find a death for William Simson.  He was born c. 1788 possibly Alves area.

To help narrow any search, was he still alive in 1851?

Does Jane's death cert show her as a widow

Have looked up SP jane Simpson nee Sandison died 5 December 1869 not 1860.  Her parents were William Sandison, Farm overseer and Elizabeth Cobban - signed by son James Simpson.   Libindx correst.

Don't know what I was thinking about and sorry for the wrong info I posted.  I have since amendEd my request,
What I should have said that the only birth I can find for a Jane Sandison is in Birnie in 1797 with parents William Sandison and Margaret Coban.
To make it mor ecomplicated, I can find 2 births for William Simpson in 1788.  One born in Elgin to William Simpson & Elizabeth Cobban
