hi,

I am trying to trace a Uncle of my late mum's, he was JOHN HENRY MOORES. I have come across a

John Henry Moores army no 241120 from Bolton Lancashire and that he was in the 1/5th battalion

(territorial force) and killed in action on the 30th Nov 1917 and i was wondering if there is anyone

that can help me with any other information.

Also can anyone tell me if there are photograph's of soldier's held by the armed force's that relative's

may be able to obtain

Bob,

If the man Nanny Jan flagged up is your relative, the best chance of finding a photo of him is the local papers. There are no official military photos of that period.

A great grandad of mine is named john henry moores. He was from chorlton manchester but it may not be the same man.

According to SDGW, this one was born and enlisted in Bolton.
