Just wondered if anyone had a connection with this family.
William Gunner Bap around 1682 in Lingfield
There appears to be a marriage in Lingfield in 1681, which could have been William Bap 1682's father and Mother.
William Gunner and a Lucy E--DEN in Lingfield on 03 July.
William Jr went on to Kent where I have picked up his family but am unable to confirm that his father was def William in Lingfield (and mother Lucy) and any descendants back further in Surrey.
I went to Woking/ Surrey Centre and couldn't find any trace of the family right back in Lingfield, although I am fairly sure the William mentioned above was his father and there were other siblings also bap in Lingfield.
I did a random search of parishes in Surrey for any other clues but could not turn anything up that was conclusive.
William Sr was probably from one of the many Gunner familes in Surrey but I cannot confirm which one, so any help would be much appreciated.
