Hello Gragareth,

Both Daniel and his wife Elizabeth Binns are my ancestors down different lines.  It's a little complicated but I'll attempt to explain.

Daniel C Priestley is the brother of my 2x great grandmother (Ann Priestley born 1812 York)
Ann Priestley's husband Holland Hargreaves, is my 2x great grandfather.
Holland Hargreaves sister Rachel Hargreaves, married Thomas Lister Binns, their daughter Elizabeth Lister Binns married Daniel Priestley, therefore I connect to both Daniel and his wife Elizabeth.
 
Please can you tell me your relationship to Daniel?

Looking at your surname interests I'm guessing you link to Daniel via the Binns'.   I have no Binns ancestry, therefore cannot help you much with them, though I do have some info on Rachel Hargreaves/Binns descendants, but that line only.

I'm descended from Amelia Lister Binns, sister of Thomas Lister Binns.  This particular piece of research because for many years I have a bible given to my maternal grandmother in Leeds upon her marriage in 1885. The written card inside is from Mr and Mrs Richard Knowles of Ince, Wigan. This year researched who they were and result is discovering Richards' wife was Elizabeth Lister Binns of Leeds.  Her first husband was David Curry Priestley of Leeds. Appears they went from Leeds to Wigan he into a teaching job.
Her second husband was Richard Knowles, Wigan.   Mrs Elizabeth Lister Knowles nee Binns was first cousin once removed to my grandmother. I'm agreeable to emailing as there's a bit more to the story.

Yes, it makes complete sense.  How lucky you are to have a family bible.

I have carried out lots of research on the Priestley's and Rachel Hargreaves ancestry/descendancy.
