1911 census shows that Joseph Johnson was a boarder with Rebecca and Alfred Swann at 15 Albert Street New Street, Cambridge. Eliza his wife has now died Jan 1910. Record checks show that Rebecca Swann was Nee Johnson and the daughter of Joseph. As well as their own 4 daughters and (Dad Joseph), Rebecca and Alfred had a nephew with them:  Ernest Steven Johnson, aged 3 born Woodford, Essex.

Can anyone help shed light on Ernest Steven Johnson, Who child was he and how many other related johnson are there in Woodford so I can chase this sisde of the family in my tree. My tree of Johnsons are all Cambridge so far. Do I now have another load of Johnson to Chase in woodford?

Unless you can find a baptism for Ernest on the IGI or local parish records - you will have to buy a copy of his birth cert to find his parentage

There is no Ernest Steven Johnson (or reversing names) birth in Essex - there is an Ernest Sidney
