i am related to an elizabeth gillespie with lanark connections and ferguson relatives. pm me your mail adress and can send you details.if not her, may be a relative as the name was normally passed down. mine was born in strathblane in  circa 1828 and married in 1848(originally a patterson).married  a gillespie with a patterson father and ferguson mother.
