Hi,

I'm very new to family history research and am wondering what does MI mean?

Is it on a death Certificate? If so it could mean Myocardial Infarction-i.e. a heart attack.

Could also be monumental inscription. In many areas there are booklets available recording them.

Hi

In Elizabeths case it refers to monumental inscriptions as MI was used in an answer on another topic

Thank you everyone! Yes, Andy is correct and I will remember the other answers as well, as I'll probably come across them during my family history investigation.

Thanks again,
All my best,
Elizabeth
