Looking for information on David Colville Easson. David was born about 1883 in Scotland. Not known when he emigrated. In 1920 he married Ethel Mildred Briggs. Believed to be the widow of John Wm Jaford Briggs. If so there were 3 Briggs children.

I'm assuming that you don't have the 1920 marriage cert. for this couple .... but perhaps that you have "inside knowledge" that the Ethel Mildred in question, had children by a prior union ??
Unfortunately the NZ electoral rolls (which I thought might be of help) don't show any of the BRIGGS children, residing at the same addresses as David and Ethel.
It may not be of great importance, but the Ethel WILEY who married John Wm. Jaford BRIGGS (1902), seems to have been just "Ethel" (i.e. without a second name. ) She was likely one of the many children born to a Clara and Luther WILEY - her birth being registered in 1882. [In 1905-06 Ethel and JWJ BRIGGS along with Luther WILEY are all residing at a settlement named Te Kiri, near Hawera in the Taranaki district.] Sometime later the the WILEY parents moved to the Waikato region, which is nearer to Auckland and the place where David and Ethel Mildred later resided.
It may be of course be that Ethel BRIGGS (bc 1882) and Ethel Mildred BRIGGS (bc 1885), were one in the same, but just thought it worth pointing out the above.
