Those white blobs aren't in the full wedding photo!

Maybe that's why Prue thinks they are from the chair as she is obviously sitting for this photo but look like she is standing for the other one-.  very odd though aren't they -  :-\

 :o Oooooo
Look carefully at the area behind her. Is she wearing wings ??????

I'm only joking but the shapes either side do look a bit like wings.

In the first pic I think she's holding a walking stick.

The 'white blobs' look like they attach to, or tie around,  the waist ... they're not part of her headress are they? The texture and colour look similar to what's on her head ...

I think the "tassles" are actually the back of the chair showing between her (tightly corsetted) waist and her arms...
Not totally convinced it is the chair back showing  :-\ .... it's puzzling
The 2 sets of blobs are mirror images of each other
Rachel

I think the chair is a garden chair and that the white blobs maybe a small cushion behing the lady's back possibly so she would be upright rather than leaning back into the chair. If it is a cushion the cover could be one of those with frills round the edge it could account for the shape of them.

So what is on her head?  It looks like a lacy soft fabric ......?

The thing on her head is a lacy bonnet arrangement, I can't remember their exact name but they're pretty common - probably more so in earlier times, but on an older lady at this date, not unheard of.

Most of the other photos of the lady in question have a feather headress, but she is younger too.....
I'm very fond of this as it is one half of the photo that I grew up with ... can't post the both of them as it's too big . . .
