Can someone clever compare this couple for a match please?

Hi, I have a wedding photo from 1903 that has the parents of the bride standing beside her which I will post.  A photo turned up out of the blue on the cover of the NZSG magazine that shows a distinct likeness to the parents, but I've contacted the family who passed a copy onto me and they can't find a connection and don't see any similarities ..... ? [Many thanks mare for all of your help!]

Looks like the same couple and even the same day and location - the trees and their clothing are identical!

As the photo is just a photocopy it may not be too clear enlarged?  
I've had a go and found a way to do it though

Thank you both for your comments as I totally agree that it is the same couple, the same clothes and yes even the same day!!!!  Just have to convince the family that has the photo.  This couple are my Scottish ancestors who settled in New Zealand in 1864 so it's very exciting to see another photo of them!

I'd agree that they're the same couple: even his watch chain and fob match...

Lucky you indeed - I'd say they are the same also

- odd that the people concerned can't see the similarity really!  Even his 'buttonhole' is the same.

I wonder what the white bits under her arms are in the second picture?

Yes I agree that the buttonhole is a certainty match too!
Those white things on the bodice look like tassles to me.....?

I forgot to mention that the original photo of the couple has written on the back "From Grannie"
Now, as this couple were my Grandmother's Grandparents - this was her Grannie too!
How strange that there is no immediate connection to be found 
Though I'm jumping out of my skin here waiting to hear from the family historian who is an extended member of the couple photo owner.

Also I have to say how the chance of probability is always on the side of family history seekers!  It was only by chance that I came across the couple photo..... which was printed onto the cover of the New Zealand Society of Genealogist magazine a year ago.  Yes I was at the local Library and yes I had a few spare minutes to fill .... hmmm I will catch up on the NZSG mags..... Blimey look at that photo!!!!  I couldn't wait to see the article about those two ... but only found a caption for the photo asking for help to identify them and giving contact details...... I was bursting to tell them who was in the photo and rushed home and contacted them .......and here we are : )
