Dear Norrie,
I shall be in Kirkcaldy in August and wanted to visit my grandfather's grave. From memory he was buried in Abbotshall Cemetery (Alexander Weir Morrison: 31/101886-20/8/1947). I had a photo of his headstone many years back which I have since lost. By chance would you happen to have a photo of his headstone? Secondly, is my memory correct about Abbotshall or do you know where he is buried in Kirkcaldy and how I can find his grave,

I can't find a headstone for Alexander Weir Morrison
do you know of any others that could be listed on the stone

Greetings Norrie.
The details I have are as follows: In Loving Memory of Alexander Weir Morrison 20th Aug 1947 age 61. Also his wife, Euphemia Bisset 6th April 1961 age 75.

They lived not far from the Abbotshall Cemetery in Cloenden Place.

I am looking for my line Gow, and have found Morison, c1739, Dysart. Alexander Williamson married Agnes Morison, 1765, dau Margaret b 1766 and Agnes 1772. Are we on the same page? and are there any Headstones? Would appreciate any help, with thanks.

Hi  Irishseeker Who are you looking for? Gows or Morisons and we are on the same page
page of what ?
Can only check for headstones if we know names of who we are looking for,
eg William Gow & Mary Brown possible dates of death and area where you think they are buried
lets have some more information

Dear Irishseeker, There is a record in the Pathead Feuars Lair Register for the burial of Alexander Williamson, merchant, on 21 April 1797. His daughter Agnes was buried 7 May 1824. The Fife Family History Society has many of these old records. I can email you a list of all Morrison marriage and birth records for Dysart and Kirkcaldy from 1590 - 1851 if it is of any help. I think Norrie would agree that finding headstones in these old cemeteries that are legible is almost impossible. Some, like the St Denis cemetery in Dysart was paved over. Alex Morrison.
