lost grandmother

I am tying to trace the life of my grandmother from the 1911 cenus untill her death in 1961.She gave birth to my mother in 1912 at st elizabeths home West ham then went back to folkestone kent, but nothing since,she died in Folkestone but no information for the years 1911 to 1961.How do I find out her life from 1911 to 1961
Any help would be very gratefull

No she never married in the 1911 cenus she was living with her brother and his wife.I might add in the 1901 census it was noted she was deaf and dumb I know nothing after 1911 only that she died in 1961

Another line of inquiry would be charities and institutions for the deaf and dumb in that area.

Well, Folkestone Library hold electoral registers which should list her from 1918-1961 if she was resident in the area during that time.  They are not alphabetical but rather chronological (street) order so if you have an address for 1911 and 1961 you may be able to work backwards and forwards from those.  If she didn't marry or have some kind of professional career, there may not be much to find.  What did you want to know?

As well as the Electoral Rolls you can also look in the area Street Directories but again this will only tell you where your grandmother lived and little else.
