What was Sarah's mother's name? If Sarah, perhaps she was the one who registered the death.

Nope. seems as though her mother was Mary.

The mystery remains!

Hi,

I might postpone sending for the marriage cert for Sarah, widow of Thomas Thurston, until the Holywell transcripts are up for sale, if that is likely to be in the near future.  On Free BMD there are a couple of Sarah Moody marriages plus a Sarah Thurston marriage in the likely area, all in the likely time frame, I'm a little undecided what surname Sarah might have remarried under, given that the informant to the Registrar for the death of Thomas Thurston was named Sarah Moody.

Regards.

PS From the IGI I did find the relationship of Jane Moody to Sarah Moody, they were as I thought sisters.

Concentrating currently on:
Essex: Card, Harris, Stowell, Theobald/Tibbles & Turner.
Norfolk: Beale, Cork & Dalton.
Yorkshire: Oswald Sturdy birth/baptism c1708, Oswald where the devil are you?
