My grateful thanks go to

All of the restores are great. It is very kind of you to restore and colour the children.

Also, many thanks to pastmagic. You have done a wonderful job. Although the date may be out, the names are all there in the same family. Very good detective work. Thank you very much

I am just wondering if the little blonde girl is a cousin or a friend, in which case I don't think any amount of detective work would work! Violet I can find in aboarding school in1901, and also the parents, but no sighting of Nora or Dorothy.  Wonder if its possible to take this further? It would need the best brains on rootschat to really work it out....

You may be right Pastmagic. For me, your brains are top class. An excellent piece of detective work which I would not have been able to do. Thank you very much. Your theory about cousins could be correct. What a shame that surnames are not on the back of the photo. Just first names and ages. The ages of course could be guesses by whoever wrote the details down. Your comment about going to Brighton on holiday is a good one. Thanks again

My grateful thanks also go to Carolyn for a beautiful colour version of the photo. Yes, it is beautiful, I could not leave it in the shop especially as it was only 50p. Would love to find the family that it belongs to. Will think about how to carry on trying to do that. Thank you very much.
