Hi, Sorry for the delay but we have just returned from holiday.
I found the following in my records (N.B. the Curry's are legion in the area) :-
Slaley Volume 6 Marriages 1754-1812, 1792 May 29.
Robert Curry of the Parish of Shotley and Cicely Cook of this Parish by Licence,
Witnesses George Ward, Richard Close and Cicely Hutchinson.

So it appears this is another Curry line.
I think my Curry's had left Stobbylee East Farm by the time your relatives arrived. Note the Farm still  exists as a single farm.

Regards  Gordon

Hi Gordon

Thanks for the reply - and hope you had a good holiday!

My research is still very much a work in progress but there does seem to be some connection to the Armstrong & Dodd families as Mildred was at Riddlehamhope in 1841 with her children plus Mary Dodd 18 Ag Lab & William Curry 25.  Also at the farm were William & Ann Armstrong (Curry) who you say were mentioned in the will of John Curry of Stobbylee.

You also mention Robert Curry - son of John's brother William of Lilswood - who made a will in 1821 (30 years before his death) leaving most of his estate to his sister Mary, wife of Michael Dodd.

I know a Robert Curry, cattle dealer of Lillswood was declared bankrupt in 1834, and in 1837 High & Low Lillswood were advertised as to be let and were "now occupied by Michael Dodd or his Under-tenant Robert Currey".

I've sent off for Mildred's marriage certificate so hopefully that will shed a bit more light on where Mildred & her father Robert fit in with all of this.
