To trace the family in Ireland you'll need to check all possible Scottish records for clues (names of parents on marriage certificates, census records, etc.).
Have a look at Introduction to Irish Records and My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I am from Ardboe.
There were Tassies/Tasseys there in the past but not any more. I think they were mostly in the townland of Ardean.
There is actually a Tasseys Point on Lough Neagh and one or two old houses known as Tasseys.
The experts on this are 'Ardboe Gallery'  on Facebook. If you contact them they may have access to the parish records.
