I have access to the BMD records (1827 onwards) for Ardboe which include the Tasseys, or Tarsey as the name was sometimes spelt in the records in the 19th century. If you require any information from them please let me know.

I sent a facebook message to the person who posted on Ardboe Gallery: the first part of the message was as follows -
Re: your query on Ardboe Gallery. I administer that Facebook page. James Corr (born 10 February 1856) had a brother Patrick (born 24 September 1858) who married Ellen Quinn in Ardboe in Ardboe 24 December 1876. They had several children. Three of these lived in the townland of Annaghmore, Ardboe. It is possible that you visited Francis Corr and his sister Ellen Corr, or relations of Mary Corr who married Mick Conway in 1913. A son of Patrick Corr and Ellen Quinn - Robert James Corr - married Margaret Sheeky in Glasgow on 5 November 1915. A descendant of theirs........etc etc

The earliest mention of your family in Ardboe records is in the Tithes Applotment Book of 1826 which shows William Tarsey living in the townland of Ardean. I have a cousin in New York whose grandmother Mary Tassey was from Ardboe. There are quite a number from her branch of the family still living in Ardboe, but the name Tassey is no longer extant here. My cousin's cousin did some research several years ago and her theory is that the family originated in France. My theory for what it is worth is that William Tarsey or his ancestor reached Ardboe via the barges that plied Lough Neagh and the canal system from Belfast, Newry etc. There is a headland just south of the Battery Harbour in Ardboe which is called Tassey's Point, and this would indicate that William lived here, beside the harbour.

I couldn't find your Jane Corr in the 1901 or 1911 census returns for Munterevlin (Ardboe) but I did find a possible death date on FamilySearch. Jane Corr died in the Cookstown Registration District (which includes Ardboe) in the quarter April-June 1907. Her estimated birth year is given as 1841. That information would be sufficient for you to obtain a copy of a death certificate from the General Register Office Northern Ireland which you will find online at nidirect.gov.uk/gro

I looked in my copy of the Ardboe baptismal register (RC) and could not find Jane. Then I realised that I had read "Joannam" as "Joannem" and translated this name as John, not Jane for the entry of 18 June 1841. See attached photo from the original register.
The parents were William Tassey/Tarsey and the mother was Sarah Devlin. Address - the townland of Ardean in Ardboe parish. There are other children of the same parents -
1. (possibly) Mary Anne born 24 August 1828
2. John born 17 August 1831
3. Catherine born 29 February 1834
4. Patrick born 9 April 1835
5. James born 19 October 1838
6. Jane born 18 June 1841

These are the details need to order the certificate-
