If you are resident in Scotland you can register with the NLS which will give you access to licensed collections such as 19th century newspapers and several others.

Again thanks for the pointers. Trying to navigate my way around the site and digest as much as I can.

Going off on a tangent but I was talking to my friend who works for Glasgow City Council. He says the cemetery records are almost all in digital form and soon to be released.   :)

My Great Grandfather was a tattoo artist Prof Norton who for some time worked out of "The Lightning Studio 55 Argyle Street" see attached business card.

I have a family photograph from that era done by Electric Studios but have a different address of 627 Gallowgate, Glasgow. unfortunately I don't know my relatives in this Post Card Photo.
