LORD Family - 1841/1851, Bucks/Leics
« on: Monday 09 May 05 11:52 BST (UK) »
Looking for a Lord family in or around Olney / Weston Underwood in 1841 / 1851

IGI shows a Joseph Lord & Wife Sarah Hooton both born about 1770 (not sure where, suspect Leicestershire for Joseph & Buckinghamshire for Sarah) They appear to have had 8 children:

1. JOHN LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 22 NOV 1795 Olney, Buckingham, England

2. LEONARD LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 03 SEP 1797 Olney, Buckingham, England

3. WILLIAM LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 30 NOV 1802 Olney, Buckingham, England

4. JAMES LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 02 APR 1804 Olney, Buckingham, England

5. SARAH LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 18 JAN 1807 Olney, Buckingham, England

6. MARY ANNE LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 03 APR 1809 Olney, Buckingham, England

7. SARAH LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 24 APR 1810 Olney, Buckingham, England

8. GEORGE LORD - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 16 APR 1811 Olney, Buckingham, England

I have found James & William Lord in 1861 (RG9/874/69/14 & RG9/874/70/15) at Weston Underwood, both born in nearby Olney. William was only visiting as his wife (from Sharnford, Leicestershire) and children all show in Leicester on the 1861 census. Particularly interested in William as he is my GGG Grandfather.

Any help from 1841 / 1851 would be much appreciated

Hi Tanja,

Thanks very much for that, I'd found this one on ancestry.com now the 1851 census is on there, but thanks anyway.

Kind regards
