William Stuart Henderson

hi hope someone can point me in the right direction

William Stuart Henderson was born 1841 in fatfield durham.

I have him on he 1861 and 1871 1881 census.

I am looking for a clue as to who his family were, but can not find the birth record, so cant order birth certificate.

Would be most greateful if someone could help me out  on this or look up the 1851 census and tell me who he was living with.

I am having the same problem locating he marriage also and the only clue I have thier is that his wifes name was elizabeth and this is shown on census.

I meant to say william stuart henderson is correct spelling but is also spelled as william stewart on census

On the 1861 cnesus his mother is shown as Hannah, born c1802, Durham Hylton, widowed.

William is listed as William STEWARD Henderson, aged 20.   Its possible that the Steward comes from his mother's maiden name.

The IGI has a couple of *possibilities* for baptisms:

William Henderson baptised 9 Aug 1840, West Rainton, Durham, father Ralph, mother Ann

William Henderson baptised 30 November 1840, Gateshead, father Samuel, mother Ann.

That does seem to tie in somewhat.

i know william s henderson had a daughter called hannah and its either hannah or her sister who had a child born 1897with same name as william.

 i know williams henderson died  1895 and the child was mnamed after  him.

will investigate a bit more on it
