Cando...thank you very much for that information! Ican see i have some corrections to make to my tree! If they werent in the habit of naming their children after themselves, it might be easier.... You must really have a head for this sort of thing!  The information about james Humes father, John T. Nelson is especially helpful as i had not come across that info before.

Shannon I've sent you a personal message with my email address.

At the top of the page you will see MY MESSAGES in the bar with the brown background.  It should show (1).  Click on MY MESSAGES and a new window will open.

I have quite a lot of newspaper snips about Arthur Snr which you may like.  His country house still stands today.

You will note I have edited my last post as I have found that James E's father was James T not John.  I have more info but will add in an email.

Thanks for the compliment but I've been researching for more years than I like to remember.  I guess if you stick at something long enough some skills will rub off ;D :P

It is some years since I used this site, but do have information on the DUNN/HUNTER families.
My gt-gt-grandfather was James Henry HUNTER, Royal Navy lieutenant and son of William HUNTER and Henrietta/Hester Dunn; grandson of Arthur Dunn (d.1814).  I have a lot of information about him; also his brother William, RN lieutenant.
