« on: Tuesday 08 November 11 15:22 GMT (UK) »
Just 'another shot in the dark'.  Am hoping somebody may have heard of the above
Gentleman who was born on 17th April 1906 in Cross Doune, in the Parish of Kilmadock, Perth, Scotland.  His Father was another Peter McLaren (Tailor) of Edinburgh and Mother Margaret Hamiliton Alison who Married in Edinburgh in 1901.
The McLaren had strong links to Callendar and Alison's hailed from Port of Monteith.
From the Birth Date Peter Alison McLaren does not appear again until 15th March
1942 when he marries Ellen A. M Wilkins/Wigmore in Reading, Berkshire. England his job description being a Forester.  The final appearance being his death in 1967 in Kent. Having tried all the usual searches without success I am hoping that some of
the Roots Detectives may come up with further information upon which I might continue my search.  Thanking you in anticipation  Anna    ;)

The family is still in Kilmadock on the 1911 Scotland census. Peter is also the informant on his father's death registration in 1936.

Thank you Jacqui for the information you posted in respect of the above.  I had not
realised that ScotlandPeople had issued the 1911 Census as I have not been on that site since earlier in the year.  Winter coming and have started the search again,
could you tell me whether the 1936 information concerning the Fathers death was on that particular site - please.  I wonder also whether in fact the Death Cert issued from Scotland are similar to the U.K ones where Occupation, Addresses etc are named? Any information would be greatly appreciated, Thanks ;)Anna

The Scotland death registations are very detailed - name, when and where died, cause of death, parents' names, father's occupation, maiden surname of mother, name of spouse (if any). If you want a copy of the elder Peter's death registration, I can send it to you since I did view it. Just PM me your email address and I'll get it to you.
