Lower Mitton

I have found references to Poor Law Records for Lower Mitton

They are in the form of Family History Library Catalogue Film Numbers

How does one tranlate these film numbers into references that will find the

original documents at the Worcester County Hall Record Office.

The only number I can find on the film notes is RG 4 3281.  This does not seem to
be recognised.

Thanks in advance for any leads on this.

Hi
You have one week to get to the County Hall branch of the CRO before it closes in preparation for the move to The Hive next July (!) The History Centre branch is open until next April. See
http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/records.aspx

The fim you want is in the Palfrey Room, the cabinet on the far left. I think in the third drawer down. Ask at the desk and they will advise you.

If you cannot get to Worcester in time, ring up and see if there is a copy of the film at the History Centre. If there isn't, it will be worth a try asking very nicely if it could be transferred down there for you to look at.

Many thanks. I will try and get over there; if that is not possible I will do as you suggest.
Much appreciated

Hi There

Why not wait till the Hive is up & running so that you have an excuse to go & visit it - I hope they give out maps well beforehand as its a huge building (well it looks it when my bus goes past it - when Im on holiday I should say)

All the very best
