Judge and Farnan Family.
« on: Sunday 06 November 11 15:27 GMT (UK) »
Hi, today a very kind RootsChat member told me she had found the birth of my Great Great Grandmother Mary Farnan she was born 1860 St Patricks Belfast, County Antrim. Mary was the Daughter of James Farnan born about 1806 and Bridget Judge born about 1822, i was wondering if anyone has come across a marriage for James and Bridget or any other information about the Farnan and Judge family.
Thanks
Sharon :)

The 1860 record must be a baptismal record from a church (St. Patrikc's) since civil registration of births didn't start until 1864. Registration of Catholic marriages started in 1864 (registration of non-Catholic marriages from 1845). Would be worth checking to see if the couple also married in St. Patrick's.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Aghadowey, thank you for your reply.
I sent an email to St Patricks earlier today they said they dont have the registers and i would have to go to the public records office Northern Ireland. I live in Staffordshire England so i will have to phone or email them.
Thanks again for the information
Sharon. :)
