Shipping records UK to Australia 1865-1868
« on: Sunday 06 November 11 04:50 GMT (UK) »
How do I find when James Elliott and wife Emily (Fleeson) and children Jno (James) Plunkett Elliott (b1861) and Sarah Elliott (b1863), and Joseph Thomas Elliott (b1865) left UK (London - Highgate - Edmonton) and came to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia? The next child Hannah was born in Australia 1868. Any assistance would be appreciated ..... Alison

If you go to Public Records of Victoria at
www.prov.vic.gov.au
and follow the instructions you should get to the unassisted passenger list.  I think I see them all on the White Star arriving 1 Aug 1867.

Hi John
Welcome to Rootschat, even if a bit belated.

Your post seems to be on the wrong thread.  Perhaps you could ask a moderator to move it to where you meant it to be?

Cheers

I do think JOHN is on the right thread and was trying to assist Alison with her FLEESON's and PLUNKETT's  :)

OK.  Sorry about that.  Do you know I read through the OP 3 times and missed the Fleeson reference.  Plus John addressed his post to James ??

John - not sure your message was meant for me as it was addressed to James, however I am looking for an Emily Fleeson so I read your message with interest as I am looking for Emily Fleeson born about 1837 and a Plunkett Fleeson 1839, also a Thomas and James and John.
Can you let me know where they were born. I only know that Emily was married to James Elliott 1861 and registered as Killcun, Mullingar, Westmeath Ireland
And just to let you know my auntie has her middle name as Fleeson and we had a Plunket Elliot but he was missing in action 1915        Thanks ..... Alison
