Davies/Davis - Little Hulton
« on: Saturday 05 November 11 08:15 GMT (UK) »
I am having trouble finding the birth of: David Davies (or Davis) b.abt 1802 in Little Hulton. His 2nd marriage listed his father as Edward, and there was an Edward Davies of about the right age living in Little Hulton on the 1841 census, with his wife Mary. I've managed to find 11 children of Edward and Mary baptised between 1805 and 1828 (at Wharton Presbyterian and later, at St Paul). However, I can't access records from before 1803 at Wharton.

Can anyone help me find out if Edward and Mary are David's parents?

Thanks
Mell

in his second marriage his father is a miner,

so we are possibly looking for an Edward that is  or was a miner,

Yes, the Edward I found in the 1841 census was listed as a Miner. And the baptismal records for his children listed him as a collier (coal miner).

So, is it safe to say that this is the guy?
