Elizabeth Burns born around 1880 in Lurgan, has a child william burns in 1900, they then appear to be in the 1911 census where she has married james bridget, can anyone help with her previous history??

The marriage certificate should list her father's name and occupation (unless illegitimate).

Elizabeth Burns was born 1878 Lurgan, Co. Armagh, father Robert Burns, mother Maria Wilson

Hi there thank you for that Info!!! where would the best place to go, to get the certificates etc, would they be in Dublin or Belfast do you think???

You can get brief details of this marriage on Emerald ancestors site. - ie.20th March 1911 at Lurgan Civil Registrars Office or you could pay for it on the rootsireland site - it is normally 5 euro a record but during November they have an offer of 3.50 (euro not sterling) per record. It 'should' provide you with all the details of the certificate. It may satisfy your curiosity before your ordered certificate arrives in the post.
