Hi all
I would love to have more memories of Nore House. I was there with my twin sister in 1948 until 1953 (6 months old to 5 years old). We remember Matron England. She was an absolutely wonderful person. We also remember Aunt Betty and Aunt Eileen. I would so love to see any old photographs of Nore House and share memories of this time!! Many thanks in advance.

My brother came from Nore House in Portishead, and is in contact with people who worked there after he had come to live with my family, and with people who are still in touch with children who were there.  It was entirely separate from the Nautical School.  He too would be interested to share information.

Portishead records might be with Bristol Archives?

Exeter archives comes under Devon.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
