Address 45 something Gardens North Shields

I think that's Onslow Gardens, but it goes with the next person down on the list.

Roland's address on the passenger list is 19 Whitby Street, North Shields.

Which is where he and his parents were living in 1901.
Thank you, so Roland did not die in WW1 he went to the USA?

Thank you all so much.
I must tell my cousin she was wrong about Roland having been killed in WW1.
She will be delighted that we have found more information about him.
I will try to trace him in USA.

Hi Irene,

you can search and see his details on Ellis Island site http://www.ellisisland.org/
It is a free site.

He is a crew member on a Belgian ship so more information to find out  ;)

Hi Irene

I think that Roland may have died and he was a Seaman, I have looked at other pages on the emigration records
and under the heading on page 2

Seamen Left In Hospital

Roland Teasdale aged 19 on the 14th Dec 1918 Cardiff died, it does say what he died of but I can't make it out, it looks a bit like pneumonia???

It's very strange, Margp - when I have searched again, I got to a completely different page  ???

This one now says he was a 3rd officer - 28 January 1919 - pg 0905

The previous one was pg 0903

(Still haven't found where he was in hospital though)

Mind you he can't have died in Cardiff if he arrived in NY a month later.
