BYNG and PETTIGROVE
« on: Tuesday 01 November 11 18:49 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any relations of Thomas Byng married To Eliza Pettigrove. James Byng married to Pheobe Pettigrove. Thomas and James being cousins. /The two women being sisters and my Aunts.

The only Byng  family history I have on them is that during WWII the mother of Jim and some of his family killed in a bomb raid. Listed on WWII memorial. I have details.

Only the second son, called John, of Thomas and Eliza had children. Richard the first son didnt have children. Pheobe anf Jim didnt have children.

Thomas/Eliza/Pheobe/Jim/Richard/John are all dead.

Hi
What sort of info are you looking for? Seems you know about the children (or not) of these people, so are you wanting to go back with the Byng and Pettigrove families? You must have some info there, to have established that Thomas and James are cousins.
If you want help, then do give some dates to get us started, and do tell us what you already have and what sort of thing you are wanting.

All my info on dead pc...so starting again. Jim and Pheobe lived next door to me in Kent and so sure the two men are cousins. What I did have is lost. I dont need anything on Pettigroves. I would like to know if any children of John would like to get in touch with me as have family photos.  Dick lived with our grandparents and estranged from his family.
The other Pettigrove sister died a few years ago and we found some photos of the family then and I owe it to her to do all I can to find them.

The one thing that I rememeber was that though I knew Thomas as the husband of Eliza.and son Ricahrd Thomas.....when I found details of the marriage it was Ronald H Byng married Sittingbourne Qtr> 1942....but I couldnt find any birth details for a Thomas Byng or a R H Byng?

I think Jim or Thomas dad was Issac..will go onto free site to find any info.
Speak soonest.

Hi there, Im trying to get in contact with a descendent of George Pettigrove who set up a fairground on the lower icknield way longwick, my Grandfather Philip John Heybourn built a replica model of Georges roundabout 'Black Prince' we are currently trying to get it restored and if succesfull I am goingto try and have it put into a museum, do you have any knowledge of the original carousel or the fairground that may be of interest to a museum?
Many thanks Sophie
