More a "cross your fingers" than a "hold your breath" kind of thing

For my "sins" of regularly asking the Local Authority for a progress report, I have been fortunate to receive some downloads from the system that will go live....when it goes live!!.

The format of the downloads I received were vastly better than those of any other site I have downloaded from.

Also if you have the name of a person there is provision on the Council web page to email the Sexton.  I have always found the responses timely and informative but not as detailed as the protypes.

Yes I meant 2012. Finding it hard to read with new glasses as was given normal lenses. Am not used to them.

While researching a different enquiry I recently spoke to the Hutt City Council Archives and took the opportunity to ask about their plan to present cemetery records online.

I was told that records prior to 1965 are incomplete and that shortly a data correction project will commence in an effort to correct the gaps in information.

The person I spoke to was very wary of committing to any date in February for information to be available online.
