HI I am looking for any information about William Wine and his wife or partner
 Cathrine ( no marriage found)
They are believed to have owned or managed the George Hotel  George St about 1940!! William may also have been a Company Director (Confectionery)!!

Hi MW,

I can't help with your people, but if you look on

http://www.picturethepast.org.uk, and put in George Hotel, then Nottingham - there is a good picture of the hotel in aprox 1860

Hi MW-UK,

I have attached a picture of the George Hotel from the picturethepast website that Copperbeach5 suggested to you. It is not easy, if you dont know what you are looking for, to identify the pictures!

The George Hotel is still standing.
Areas: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Main Names: Wood, Taylor, Beckworth, Whysall, Hull [and many others when I go off on a tangent!! lol]

Hi MW-UK, George Lane was the proprietor of The George Hotel through the 1960's, and Catherine Liddall managed the Hotel. As far as I understand, Catherine married Bill Wine, a businessman, during that decade. I lost contact with Catherine some years ago, at which time she was in the Mapperley Park area. I would appreciate any information on her subsequent whereabouts,
