London Metropolitan Archives - DOCKING marriage copy needed please

Hello

I would be very grateful if anyone could get a copy for me please, exact details known, and of course can pay postage/copy costs. I have checked and they should have coverage for this place/date.

The details are
John Ellery Docking + Martha Richford
m. 4 Jan 1908
St. Paul's Church, Herne Hill, London

Would love to know the details of Martha. Know that John's father was John and he was born in 1844.

If you cannot find anyone to go to the London Metro Archives to get a photocopy of the marriage between John Ellery Docking & Martha Richford, the LMA will do it for you, I cannot tell you the cost but if you order a copy from the GRO at a cost of £7 you will get a certficate.  You can do this online at www.gro.gov.uk/gro/certificate/index.
You must quote the correct info exactly for the marriage entry in the BMD indexes,
Mar. ¼  Camberwell  vol 1d page 931

The information shown on the cert will give you the father's name & occupation but no birth date for him.

Many thanks for your reply. I was just trying to do this more economically!

I had enquired the cost for the LMA copying and it's more than the certificate, crazy!  Our local record office only charges just over a pound for a copy!
