  Thanks morganllan, for reminding me of my threads over the years (and finding it funny). Sorry if I misunderstand you but are you trying to be helpful or just telling me off for having more than one thread? Maybe a PM would have been kinder.

You can see I have attacked this brick wall from different angles (and Counties) and in my exasperation, thought about asking the question on Roots because it is such a super, helpful site.  Each time there has been lots of help and friendly advice for which I am  extremely grateful.

This last thread has brought forward much information from a helpful Rootschatter but after reading your last reply, I will think twice before asking a question.

I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I was telling you off  It's just that it helps for Rootschatters to know of other searches that have been done previously. This avoids duplication of effort and frustration for yourself and others.

I don't want you to be put off asking future questions; I was just trying to help by linking your threads together. In fact, I spent a lot of time trying to help find info on Justice Williams for you and eventually found your old Posts on John Williams of Pitmaston, and Justices of the Peace/WILLIAMS /death by choking.
