more of a guess, but genealogist deals with family trees and and events directly associated with them, whereas a historical researcher's specialty is all kinds of historical events. ???

According to Nick Barratt (Your Family History, November 2011 - Best Value in History? page 30) "Furthermore, I have regularly appeared on stage talking about Ancestry products at prevous sessions of WDYTYA Live.  Yet I appear on the forthcoming Find My Past television show demonstrating the FindMyPast website to trace interesting ancestors who are related to our contirbutors.  I am not employed or contracted by either company, but am happy working with both; I have no axe to grind, and consider myself 'neutral'.

Thankfully, Chris has slowed down in his narration style from the last episode.  However, I have still not warmed to him as a presenter.  Again, the continual recapping after the commercial break!.... I may be getting old but I certainly hadn't forgotten what the story was about in the few short minutes for the adverts!

I said something similar last week about Chris, he just doesn't have the voice for this narration business.

The recapping is a bit tiresome but it happens a lot now, even shows on the ad free BBC are the same, just look at Heir Hunters as an example of this with the story jumping all over the place.

One other point from me is I don't know if having three people works as I find it hard to concentrate on their story with the constant jumping between the three of them and the three advert breaks.

Having said that I thought this weeks episode was superb and if like me you wondered how these people ended up on the show then the Findmypast blog states that the tv company producing the show contacts them out of the blue.

Well if they are taking nominations for a replacement presenter, Having watched BBC2s Operation Jericho may i suggest Martin Shaw. His melodious voice coupled with an evident enthusiasm for the subject was as much as I could wish for.

sfunny though. I much preferred Lewis Collins in The Professionals mm wonder what he's doing now :-*
