unable to locate marriage info for robert moffat b1818 and mary cockburn b 1821

Hi there,
I have been unable to find the Marriage either.

Were they the ones with Children;
William, Mary, Alexander, Robert, George, John in the 1861 Census in Chattan, Northumberland?

Did you get Marys name from a Childs Birth Cert?

1851 Census there are 2 Moffatts Lodging near them, Adam 25 and George 20.

This is possibly them in 1841 pre Children;

Everyone on page seem to be Ag Labs

Living next door are;
Henry COCKBURN, 50
George, 10
John, 5

Nearby is;
Adam MOFFAT, 15

And;
William MOFFATT, 50
Margaret, 20
Jane, 15
Thomas, 10
GEORGE, 5
Catherine, 3

Looks to me that there is a large possiblity that William is Roberts Father and Henry is Marys.

Now to prove it without a M/C!

Trish thanks for this info I believe it is the family I'm looking for although did not see the Henry living next door and yes I have b/c for alex c (believe 1851 census) and only m/c in index is for a mary fawcett? abt the correct dates  Trying to cfm parents of Wm 1842 Doddington  His 1st m/c to eleanor Eliott states father as Robert
