Marriage Look up please - LEGENDER

Hello, I am trying to confirm the marriage of Isaac Legender to Elizabeth Henderson abt 1849 in Durham probably Gateshead.  Any help very much appreciated.

Also they seem to go missing in the 1871 and 1881 census data.  Any ideas?

What I know is that they have a son James 22/10/1851 (my 2x maternal grt grandfather) registered in Gateshead and living in High St.  Isaac's occupation is Iron Founder on the birth cert.

I think 3 other children: Chapman dob abt 1850, Ann dob abt 1854 and Alice dob abt 1857.

Eliabeth Henderson married Isaac L. Genders, 1847, Newcastle All Saints.

Aha well that surname spelling is interesting.  I haven't come across that before.  Maybe that's why they go missing in two census years?!

Isaac is married to a Drucilla aged 60 from Leeds in the 1891 census.

I do believe "my" Isaac died in 1903 as it fits with his dob, although I don't have a copy of this death cert.  I do have a 2nd marriage to a Drucilla - but not the cert at the moment, so not substantiated.

Hi Suz,

Well here is some great news

I fished around one of the subscription sites and found Isaac's daughter Ann on some census data.  Then decided to look for a marriage for her and it came up with a match for a Joshua Audas.  I can then assume that the William Audas mentioned in the probate was Isaac's grandson.  Not my direct line as I am from one of Isaac's son's - James. 

So, thanks to you I have found a match for a marriage as well and it all ties in!!
