Hi Chatterers,

Could someone please help me to locate the births and deaths of this couple? I found their marriage in Victoria in 1860 reg #293, plus the births of 10 children:
Thomas George 1860 Swifts Creek - died ?
John Robert 1862 Victoria - died 1944 Dandenong
Sarah 1863 Victoria - died ?
Un-named Male 1864-1864
Annie/Ann 1865 Omeo - died 1922 Fitzroy as Annie DWIGHT
Henry 1866 Omeo - died 1943 New Zealand
Leonard 1868 Omeo - died 1944 Dandenong
Rose Elizabeth/Elizabeth Rose 1870 - died 1945 Coburg as Rose PARK
Catherine 1872 Lucknow - died ?
George 1874 Lucknow - died ?

The problem is that the parents names change depending on the child - eg sometimes Dad is just Robert but other times he is known as George and Mum is either DAVIS or DAVIES. On the death of Annie (DWIGHT) Dad was actually named as Leonard which is really her brother.

I can't find the death or electoral rolls for Robert/George and Mary at all. Please note that at this stage I am not looking for any additional information for the children JUST the parents.

Keeping my fingers crossed that someone very clever can find something for me!

The mariage certificate will have information about parents of bride and groom, places of birth and ages of Robert and Mary, names of witnesses, which might also be useful in locating earlier family.

You can purchase and download the certificate online.

Hi,

I know this post is now two years old, but I am also searching for information on this family, in particular Thomas George. 

My GG Grandmother's name was Catherine Josephine Mahon and she married a Thomas Stevenson and possibly lived around the Bruthen/Upper Tambo area.  One of their children was named Catherine Josephine Stevenson (born 1889 Carlton - died 1929 Bairnsdale)who married James Kennedy Johnston.  I cannot find any information on Catherine Josephine Mahon and Thomas Stevenson, so if anyone can assist I would very appreciative.

PS I can share some information of Mary Davis'.  She remarried and died Mary Hollowell and is buried in the Bairnsdale cemetary.
