Celbridge and Castlebar Workhouse
« on: Wednesday 19 October 11 12:42 BST (UK) »
Would anyone know if records available for either Castlebar or Celbridge workhouses and if so where.

I have relatives who died in both around the 1860s and 1870s.

Thank you :)

This material normally ends up in the local County Library.

Suggest you try the local history libraries:

localhistory[at]kildarecoco.ie

Local History Department, Castlebar Central Library, John Moore Rd, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
Phone: +353 (0)94 9047953
Email: ihamrock[at]mayococo.ie
They should be able to tell you about what records survived and where they are kept.
