Hi Jan

Thanks for the welcome and the scavenger hunt info... sounds like all have great fun, being a beginner it all sounds so exciting.  I'll definitely watch for the next hunt, who knows - I might just pick up a tip on where to get off the mark !

Thanks again

KHP and Groom hit the nail on the head when they said I'd been away - for six weeks - and I really haven't had the time to get back into them, but there will be another Hunt next week.

Actually, we've just celebrated our 4th Birthday of Scavenger Hunts and very successful they've been, in fact, there's still information coming in on many of the Hunts - even the very early ones.

If you'd like a Scavenger Hunt, ShashF (Welcome to Rootschat  ;D) just send me a PM and I'll organise one for you.

Each week, the new Hunt is posted on this thread,  http://www.rootschat.com/links/0fqk/   it's also posted on the previous  Scavenger Hunt thread, and it should come up in 'Show Unread Posts'

Tephra,
I have only just noticed your picture under your name.
Very good, but not sure about your Latin!  :)
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

Sort of, kind of.
Where did you find it, or did you make it up (and pulling my leg)?
