Hi Debbie... I did put the name Cecila Earl into the search line and it didn't work...so I just went and found it as a direct url as that's easier for me and so perhaps others as well. But you are correct, I don't always process information properly. Comes with age, I guess and major sinus head!!  I'll give myself a rollie eyes!     all the best, J.J.

Reading your postings has me delving more into what I've got and may be slightly different from the info posted.

I'll start with the letter. As I say, the writer refers to Rachel and Minnie as Aunties and given context in which it is said it would appear that neither of them are her mother but they are older than her. It's possible she is either a child of their sibling or indeed of a sibling of their partners but as she is familiar with their brother (uncle Alf) it would seem more likely it's a sibling of theirs and therefore who can it be? I can date the letter to the 1960s and indeed to after 1962 for the following extract. "Bill got married on the 5th Sept... Auntie was telling me Fred is married..." Fred is my Uncle (my Father's brother) and he was married on 15/10/1962.

Another area of doubt is Mclellan V Mcquillan. It is possible Kathleen is married to Mclellan but we must not mix this up with mcquillan as he was married, almost certainly  to Rachel (as opposed to Minnie - as per original posting).
