« on: Thursday 13 October 11 21:40 BST (UK) »
Has anyone got copies of the register for this church. I am brand new on this roots chat and saw someone make a post called phil that they had a copy of these registers.

i have obtained a marriage cert of my great grandparents and would be really grateful for some further help with any baptism records for around 1866 in this church please

Kind Regards

Sharon

The baptism records for this church are held at the Lancashire Record Office, which doesn't reopen until the 24th October.I will be going possibly the week after that so if you can give me names etc if you need a look up

Thank you so very much for the kind offer.

James Norcross Born 1844 married Alice Barton at St Wilfrids Chapel in 1866

The children I know of are,
Ann born 1866, Mary 1868,Joseph 1869,John1873,Henry 1879,James 1881

I am sure there will be more perhaps that dies with there being such a gap in between john and henry. If you find any more I would be very grateful

Many Thanks

Oh Dottty

How clever you are!!!!!!!!! ;D

I am just learning and I dont know how you did that but THANK YOU!!!

I sent for the Marriage cert for James so I know he married Alice Barton but I dont know how to go back further???? The marriage cert says his father was also James and was deceased. If I can find james' birth then could I send for that certificate and would that give me his mother?? I dont mind but its £9 a time.

I dont know how else to do it??

I have just received the death cert for James Norcross in 1881 and it was notified by his brother Henry Harrison...so we have the right family, Margaret Norcross must have remarried John Harrison.

She is a widow in 1851 and she has a son in 1855 John Harrison

So Joseph Norcross must have died between 1849 ( after the last child was born and 1855 when she was married again

I have searched for 3 hours and am really tired...can you help and find it for me with one of your tricks PLEASE ???
