TUCKLEY, Thomas

Does anyone have any connection with Thomas Tuckley please?  I believe he was born in around 1858 in Portobello, Wednesfield (at least that's what the 1861 census implies.

He married my widowed great grandmother, Mary Harrison, in 1883 and died in Derby (where he ran an off-licence) in 1921.  Any information would be good.  I believe they had a daughter Elizabeth Mary, born in 1892.

Firstly, I'm not connected, sorry.

But, in the 1891 & 1901 Census, Thomas seems to be a Railway goods guard. A daughter, Elizabeth M. aged 9 yrs is with them in 1901 as well as sons (most possibly) from a previous marriage.

Hi There,

I have the Tuckley family in my tree and i also have Thomas b:1858 Wednesfield..occupation:Vermin Trapper, i don't have him married and he as 8 sibling's.

Thomas's parent's are;
James Tuckley b:1814-1861 Willenhall and his wife was Julia Henshaw b:1818 Wednesfield.

I'll email you later today...as my family line the Duncombe's/Dowens/Tuckley's/ Squire's etc from willenhall and shortheath being large locksmith family's all married into one another.

Lovely - thanks Ruby.

Although TT isn't a blood ancestor as such I'm very interested in him.  My mother referred to him as "Grandad Tuckley" - being her grandmother's second husband.  Unfortunately while my Mum was alive I wasn't into family history and now have no-one to ask.  Isn't that often the case?

I'm just doing a genealogy report for you in 10 generations and you'll see all the family's i've mentioned in it.
My family tree goes way back to my 10th g/grandfather in the early 1500s on my dads side. lol
