Hi Ruby

I have a Squire family in Short Heath / New Invention and I am wondering if we may be connected.

John Squire (1870-1937) was my g-g-grandfather and his parents were James John Squire (1847-1915)and Charlotte Wilkinson (1848-1927).  James' parents were John Squire and Lucy Tarbuck.

I'm sure I've got the name Tuckley as well but can't find it at the moment.

If you think we might have a connection I would be very grateful of any information you may have.

Thanks
Helen

Hi Helen,

That's the correct family of Squire's from Shortheath and my dads line the Duncombe's married into the Squire family visa versa.lol...as my dads line is from shortheath/willenhall.

I don't have John Squire 1870-1937 only Charlotte 1884, Ada 1889 and Louisa 1892.

I do have his father James 1848-1915 known as John and his wife Charlotte Wilkinson 1849-1927 and also their gravestone from the Holy Trinity Church, Shortheath.

Helen i go back with the Squire's to William Squire 1755c-1792c and his wife Rachel Ducombe 1752-1792 on that side of the tree but there's another line where i go back to William Squire 1690-1757.

Regards
 Ruby

Hi
I don't have the name Duncombe in my tree but I've heard of the name in Willenhall.
I had looked for John and Charlotte's gravestone and couldn't find it but if it's Holy Trinity I had been told the wrong church - I will go for a walk to find it tomorrow!  Do you remember where in the churchyard it is?
I would be interested to see or hear any more information you have.
Thanks for your help.
