Good afternoon
Could someone please help me with information on my Grandfathers mystery brother known as Frank, who I have very little information on, including his correct name. He moved or worked away in his early teens and settled in Wales. He may well have been connected to the sea trade.
The last written record of him was when he attended his fathers (Frederick John) funeral at Ilfracombe in 1937. The obituary which I came across, recorded that in attendance were sons Mr F Bennett, Mr A Bennett and daughter Mrs G Carpenter (Gladys was know married and so was William Arthur). Not sure about F Bennett.
I can not see any Frank or possibly a Francis in the Ilfracombe 1901 or 1911 Census records that would match.
My G Grandparents were:
Frederick John Bennett b: Ilfracombe 1868-1937 d:Ilfracombe = m 1894 at Ilfracombe= Sarah Maria Searle b: Bridgwater 1873- d:Ilfracombe 1970.
They had the following children born and lived at Ilfracombe:
Gladys b; 1897-1968
John b:1899-1899 - died at birth
Frederick Arthur 1901-1901 died at birth
Arthur William 1901-1979 (my grandfather)
F Bennett?
?? Date and details not known.
Could some one if possible please tell me what his full and correct name was and details of birth, hopefully from that I can then research his branch of the family.
