Hi all,
I am hoping someone will be able to help me repair this photo and increase the quality as I would like to put this on a canvas as a present for my mum at Christmas. I also need to be able to get the image size bigger if possible?
Thanks for all your kind help
Kieran

There is a lot of "artifact" noise due to compression on your picture. It would be nice if you could rescan it and save with 0% loss of info.. or "uncompressed". If you want to save on picture size scan it as greyscale. Nontheless I made an attempt to bring it back to life for you.

GUIDE FOR PHOTO RESTORATIONS PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR SCANNER BED IS CLEAN AND SCAN AT A RESOLUTION OF 300-600 WITH THE SCALE AT 100% MINIMUM.
If you would like a coloured version, details such as hair colour , eyes and clothing etc. if known would be helpful to restorers

Hi Artistic and everyone,
Thanks for all your help. This is the original scanned at 600 dpi does this make it better quality. I am new to knowing how best to get the quality in old images.
Thanks for all your help
